Kiss my…for a change

October 10, 2011

Time for a rant. If I’m buying and your the prospective vendor why don’t you try to go out of the way and tell me why I should use you. I’m not asking for much. Am I? Instead I’m feeling it is the reverse. Economic times are bad for me, but guessing they are just […]

Ted Dziuba

October 7, 2011

Go read Ted Dzuiba’s Blog. I was just reading a bunch of his old posts last night. Great stuff and a must for us programmer designer types. He’s a bit of a curmudgeon and uses the F work once in a while, but it is a hard core wake up call. He urges simplicity and not to […]

Steve like Moses

October 6, 2011

Last night was elation to utter sadness in only the course of five minutes. First we found out our Kickstarter project (more on this later when we get it up for listing) got approved. Then five minutes later a text from a friend that brought the night down hard. Steve had died. When I see […]

Rock Climber

October 4, 2011

I saw something on 60 minutes Sunday night that blew my mind. I know it doesn’t take much, but it was about a Rock Climber named Alex Honnold. The crazy part is that he doesn’t use ropes and he is climbing big pieces of granite like El Capitain. He lives out of his van and […]

September 28, 2011

Going minimal. Deleted 5k Twitter followers. Now 200. Much more enjoyable experience. Deleted my entire inbox. And I keep deleting it as the hoards of SPAM come in. Feels good. One filter called “Prospects”. Still waiting on a prospect. Many frauds. Eating cheaper and less healthy. I don’t feel much different. I guess I haven’t weighed myself […]

Willing to go 100%

September 20, 2011

Time to chime in on the Matthew Baxter-Reynolds Blog. Everyone and Gruber did. So here’s my bullet list: Yes, we all mostly write boring Software. But please don’t stop dreaming or trying. Objective C is a tough slog for us C# and Java programmers. I fall into that camp. Go get a Mac. You won’t be sorry. […]

Enable Debugging in Access 2010 or 2007

September 15, 2011

This Sith lord strikes again. Doing a small upgrade project for client in Access 2010. Right off the bat breakpoints not working. An hour later I see a post that says this option on Current Database “Access Special Keys” must be set. This enables debugging. WTF. Don’t give into the Dark Side.
